It’s one of the earliest and most important steps involved in preparing an online marketing plan or campaign, because using the correct keywords in your website improves its perceived relevance, and therefore your traffic and conversion rate.

We undertake Keyword Research using Wordtracker, supported by other research sources. This helps you understand not just what people are searching for, but the broader context for their search. For example, if your local place name is shared by others (pity the operator of the Hilton hotel in Paris), you need to know. Seeing how the keyword is represented in blogs, websites and social media helps you understand how useful the keyword might be for your operation.

Our Keyword Analysis gives you recommendations for three of the top keywords relevant to your operation, along with historical and projected search traffic on each keyword. The report also includes contextual analysis of the keywords to help you understand our recommendations.

Email Marketing Campaign Setup When visitors come to your website, always give them the option of leaving their email with you, for example, to subscribe to your newsletter or to receive special offers. Once you have an email database you can run targeted Email Marketing campaigns.

Your OM4Tourism Website includes a section that enables visitors to enter their email address to subscribe and automatically receive your latest newsletter or offer.

We have integrated the OM4Tourism platform with the AWeber email autoresponder. This system supports verified opt-in email marketing, in compliance with US and Australian anti-spam legislation. To use Aweber, you will need your own account, costing approximately $180 USD/year. A key reason for purchasing your own email autoresponder account is that should you ever decide to move off the OM4Tourism platform, you are able to use your existing email lists with an alternate provider.

Once you establish your Aweber account, OM4 will:

  • integrate your Aweber account with your OM4Tourism website
  • create a Newsletter list
  • establish a Newsletter Sign Up facility in your website sidebar
  • based on your content and images, create your first newsletter (on its own web page, and in your autoresponder)

We will also educate you in how to:

  • invite people onto your list
  • create your own mail-outs (including HTML formatting and images, if you choose)
  • track the number of readers receiving and opening the emails, and how many click on internal links back to your site.

With your first Email Marketing Campaign established, you are subsequently able to create additional email lists with their own email subscription forms on your site, at no additional cost.

PPC Search Marketing Campaign Setup You can use a pay-per-click Search Marketing campaign to bring qualified search traffic to your site. You pay only when someone clicks through to your landing page.

To get your PPC (pay-per-click) campaign up and running, all you need to do is nominate the keyword group (for example, adventure travel).

We will establish your campaign in Google AdWords by:

  • setting up an ad group with appropriate keywords (for example, adventure travel company is another keyword we might include in this group),
  • making sure that “phrase match” and “exact match” keywords are used, and set appropriate country or regional settings,
  • recommending initial bids for all keywords, and setting a daily budget,
  • setting up two ads for each ad group (to compare performance),
  • creating a dedicated landing page for each keyword group with special content designed to respond to the search intent.

As your OM4Tourism Website is pre-configured to integrate with Google Analytics, you can track your paid search traffic with precision. We will also tag a conversion page in your site (for example, the Thank You For Your Booking page) so we can track successful conversions using Google AdWords reporting tools.

PPC costs are billed to you directly by Google.

Content Marketing Campaign Content Marketing aims to attract potential visitors to your site using content. The content is based on your own unique knowledge and experience.

For example, you might consider:

  • preparing some travel itineraries within your destination
  • recommending local wineries or restaurants based on visitors’ and your own experiences
  • describing where and when to spot native wildlife in your area
  • writing about local dive sites or surf breaks
  • reporting on local events

You choose your content based on where your areas of expertise and experience lie. Appreciate that your knowledge about your area or experience is valuable.

An OM4Tourism Content Marketing Campaign starts by helping you select a theme. Once chosen, we get down to the business of writing the content. We’ll need to interview you a few times and carry out our own research. There are quite a few details to get right:

  • using the right keywords to support your keyword strategy
  • linking to other relevant content on your site
  • making sure the campaign landing page works for visitors, with a clear call to action
  • creating search engine optimised titles, meta descriptions and meta keywords

Sourcing images is very important, so we help you build on your own image library with a selection of 10 additional images (fully licensed) that we will source from available image libraries. For itineraries you might also want to commission a Travel Map (see below).

Once you have approved the content and it is published, we get to work publicising it to other websites and travel blogs. We will help you do some of this through draft posts for your blog, that you will review, edit and publish.
